As said in the previous post, the week after posting all our layouts, a few of us will share a bit about the how and why of the layout. For Dawn's dare i at first started with a pic of me in the sun. And i got out some golden Hambly overlay and some papers of the new Basic Grey's infuse. And then... the supplies were staring at me for a long time and nothing happened. No aha. No inspiration. No playing with materials. I just could not come up with a 'why' for my page. No story, just fresh supplies! Then i put it all aside and started with a different photo of a sweet lady we know, that always says in dialect: "Be as a sunbeam, other people are in need of that". Not a precize translation, but you get the picture. I had been wanting to capture her and her beautiful oneliners on a page for a long long time. And then the supplies came out, paper and stickers that had been on a stack for ages!! It felt so good to finally capture this story and it also felt good to be using some supplies that were just getting old... Not a hip nor a flashy layout, but a layout that does tell a story my family will want to remember...
Supplies: Chatterbox papers and painted letterstickers, painted coasterletter by Gin-X, Hambly rubons, scalloped cardstock and chipboard swirl by Fancy Pants.
Later this week someone else will share a bit about their layout too, see you later!
